Armorsaurs - PALOMA!

Armorsaurs Series 1 (Armor-Up 3.75" Pilots) - Paloma Silva - MGA 2026

I've been aware of MGA Entertainment toys for many years. They've been a major player in the pink aisles for years. While I wasn't personally wowed by their flagship Bratz, I was thoroughly impressed by the design and production of several other projects like Novi Stars and LaLaLoopsy. A few months ago I learned of their newest foray into the action figure market, Armorsaurs, and was really excited. Their previous "boy" lines like Ninjombie, Alien Racers, and Shrek just didn't appeal to me. But this new sentai-like action dinosaur line was just my speed. The kismet thing is MGA started their toy journey in the 90's with the Power Rangers license (making a variety of branded handheld games) so this seems like a return to form. I love that the main lineup of Armorsaurs pilots have two female characters.. and they each ride a velociraptor (a decidedly aggressive choice that I greatly appreciate). The whole line is very tempting. Let's check out Paloma below!

A major gimmick with these pilot figures is the "Armor-Up" feature where the pilot body is covered with ports wherein a wide assortment of accessories can be mounted. Each figure comes with one main (painted) weapon and a translucent sprue with 24 additional accessories. Each pilot's sprue is unique, but they are interchangeable between characters if you want to mix your colors.

There are at least two figures of Paloma's velociraptor, Blaze.

This large-scale one is pretty amazing. The quality of the dinosaur underneath is great. The coloring and texture really reminds me of the Dino-Riders figures from my childhood. The armor also seems sleek and well-engineered. I keep picking this up in the story and she is very tempting.

This smaller-scale Blaze is pretty great, too. From what I gather, the inspirational Korean property, Armored Saurus, had a similar toyline. You can see them on eBay.

I love that their under-clothing is brown. It really pops with the warm orange and yellow armor.

When I first saw these figures, they reminded me of another Korean dinosaur-riding property, MiniForce Super Dino Power.
