I have been begging for a 6-8" scale Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman for as long as I've been collecting action figures. We've seen 3.75" figures, block figures like Kubricks and Mini-Mates, vinyl figures, and a glorious 18" figure from NECA. But all I wanted was something that could stand alongside all my superhero toys. It took a long time, but my wish was finally granted in the form of this near-perfect McFarlane figure. I managed to snag mine a few weeks before Christmas but was a little intimidated to open her until recently. It was actually the reveal of upcoming 8" NECA figure that lit a fire under me and inspired me to finally post this. She's as good as I've always hoped. She has the typical elongated body that all McFarlane DC figures are plagued with, but I'd always rather have a figure be too tall than too short. The placement of her mask can also vary figure-to-figure and greatly change her appearance, but I'm really happy with mine. Let's check out the Batman Returns Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman below!

Funko POP Batman Returns CATWOMAN!

I can't believe it's taken so long for Funko to finally make a Michelle Pfeiffer Batman Returns Catwoman Pop. It was just about this time four years ago when I was obsessively trying to buy the SDCC Dorbz set (if I remember correctly, GameStop posted them online at 2 in the morning - and I was still at a phase in life when I had patience for such things). But seeing that Catwoman finally appear under the Funko Brand was exciting, because Funko is nothing if not prolific. And I thought for sure we'd be seeing a Rock Candy, Mystery Mini, Plushes, Vynl, and most certainly a Pop of her within a few months. But no. We didn't see anything until this figure four long years later. But I guess I'm glad for the wait, because back then Funko was still giving a lot of the DC ladies that squat Batgirl #03 body. (Classic Catwoman and Batgirl '66 are two examples of figures that had old-style bodies well after the modern style was in use). This figure just wouldn't be the same without a feline pose. There are far too few representations of Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman in my collection. I still maintain that this was the best representations of a female comic character on screen. Every so often I find myself searching YouTube for that iconic "Meow" scene and every time it's just as good as I remember. When the ViniMates spinoff line of MiniMates was first announced, I wasn't too impressed. I love the blocky tiny MiniMate line so much, but these larger, unarticulated cousins just didn't make much sense to me. But then they started rolling out amazing DC characters in a variety of different eras, and I was hooked. It had been 10 years since the original DC Mini-Mate line had fizzled out and I didn't realize how much I was missing it. This Michelle Pfeiffer figure is absolutely perfect. Now I have an expanded wishlist for Julie Newmar and Eartha Kitt versions. Not to mention other cinematic ladies like Alicia Silverstone Batgirl and Uma thurman Poison Ivy. I want them all! Batman Returns CATWOMAN Dorbz!

Batman Returns - SDCC / GameStop Exclusive Dorbz 3-Pack - Funko 2016

I just can't get enough Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman toys in my life. I'm thinking the 25th Anniversary of Batman Returns in 2017 is playing a big part in the recent burst of products. The Mini Mez-Itz and upcoming NECA 1:4 scale figures join this surprise SDCC Exclusive Dorbz set to really bolster our Pfeiffer collections. (I'm still waiting on a mini-bust though!) This three pack was a shared Summer Exclusive between SDCC and GameStop. I heard that most GameStop stores only got one or two sets, but they were available on GameStop.com on SDCC Preview Night so hopefully everyone was able to snag a set if they wanted it. I'm becoming very addicted to Funko's secondary product lines like Rock Candy and Dorbz and I'm already eager for the NYCC exclusives. Since Funko products have a knack for making me appreciate underwhelming costumes, I'd love to see their take on a Batman & Robin Alicia Silverstone Batgirl. Fingers crossed that we'll get her! Mini Mez-Itz Batman Returns Box Set - Catwoman - Mezco 2016

I love Mini Mez-Itz. The only trick to collecting them is harnessing your inner patience. It seems like the average figure gets delayed multiple times - sometime years late. But they almost always come out eventually (the only exception has been a few minor variants, like the unmasked Batman '66 Catwoman and Riddler). This Batman Returns Box Set was originally slated for last September, and honestly a delay of eight months is not that bad compared to previous waits. This is now the 4th (distinctly) different Catwoman Mez-Itz released (I say distinctly because there's a slightly redecoed comic-version Catwoman out there that I don't count). I'm hoping now that we'll get a BTAS version next. The only remaining Bat-lady on the horizon is a Suicide Squad Harley Quinn due out this Summer (supposedly). Although with the deadline of the movie's opening date, they may actually make it out on time. In the meantime, let's check out this awesome Batman Returns Catwoman Mini Mez-Itz below!

DC Multiverse: Batman Returns (1992) - Catwoman - Mattel 2014

I feel like I've been waiting for a good Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman figure my whole life.  For such a major character in such a hit movie, she's received very little merchandise over the years.  That's why this figure was such a surprise to everyone visiting the Mattel booth at last year's NYCC.  Sure, the Batman '66 resurgence had proven that there's a market for this kind of stuff, but I don't anyone could have predicted this line.  The only gripe I heard about the figures was the scale.  And it's not even that 3.75" figures are a bad thing.  It's just that the majority of DC figures have been produced in the 6-7" scale so it was a shame she wouldn't fit in with all the other Catwomen in our collections.  I have been searching for this figure for about a month now and I finally found her this evening at Toys R Us.  They had several of her - all with pretty extreme paint defects.  This was just another disappointment after such a long wait for this figure.  Luckily I'm good with a paintbrush so I was able to clean her up nicely (before and after pics below).  Without further ado, let's check out Catwoman below!
