The Girls of LEGO CHIMA!

Eris, G'Loona, Windra, Rinona, Crooler, and Spinlyn - LEGO: Chima 2013-14

Hello my name is Alex and I have a Lego problem.  At first I would just pick up the occasional DC Lego: Catwoman, Harley, Ivy, etc.  Maybe I would aim to get one or two figures from each minifigure wave.  I was keeping it all in check.  But then they introduced this amazing little theme called  Legends of Chima.  Damn them.  Chima introduces a vast world of anthropomorphic characters.  So far, there are about 18 different animal tribes.  Some are good, some are bad, some are both.  So far, the only females figures have been in the Eagle Tribe, Lion Tribe, Crocodile Tribe, Rhino Tribe, Gorilla Tribe, and the Spider Tribe.  There are at least two more females due out later this summer from the Lion and Mammoth tribes.  But there are undoubtedly more ladies coming in the future.  I would love a female Bat, Vulture, Phoenix, and Fox.  These figures all come in big expensive sets which are completely breaking my bank.  Luckily they show up on eBay pretty regularly loose.  Let's check out the first 6 ladies below!

If you want details on which sets each character comes in, check out the amazingly comprehensive Brickipedia Chima page.  If you scroll to the bottom you can see all the characters by tribe and if you click their names, it will take you to their individual page which will details their toy and cartoon appearances.
Eris
Eris is an Eagle Princess.  Her father is Ewald, leader of the Eagle Tribe and her best friend is Laval from the Lion Tribe (and the main character in the Chima mythos)

Most the Chima figures have reversible heads with different facial expressions.  Most of the variations are extremely subtle.  In Eris's case, her eyes are just slightly different size.

Eris is by far the most popular female from Chima.  She's been released (or at least announced) in eight different sets so far.  Some variants include silver armor, and transparent red parts (from the Phoenix - aka fire - set).   She also comes with a different weapons depending on which set you get her from.  She was released as a keychain, but that figure has no wings.

G'Loona
Young Orphan in the Gorilla Tribe

Crooler
Princess of the Crocodile Tribe

Crooler is the main bad guy from the cartoon.  Technically her dumb brother, Cragger, gets all the credit.  But it is Crooler's wicked manipulations that actually propel all the evil schemes.

Rinona
A rare intelligent Rhino from the Rhinoceros Tribe

Windra
A Moody, Violent, and Cruel member of the Wolf Tribe

Spinlyn
Queen of the Spider Tribe

Once again, If you want details on which sets each character comes in, check out the amazingly comprehensive Brickipedia Chima page.  If you scroll to the bottom you can see all the characters by tribe and if you click their names, it will take you to their individual page which will details their toy and cartoon appearances.

Time for a Group Shot!
I can't wait to add to it when I get more :)

Cheers!

  1. Nice photoshoot! And yeah, love how Spinlyn is a drider... :)
I must admit, I only collect Chima for the anthro leg toys. I am largely uninterested in their crazy animal-inpsired vehicles, but luckily save for a few, the figures are cheap to get.
Pity the cartoon is simply, CRAP. And to think Chima was supposed to be Lego Thundercats...
