BWorld - Woman Blonde & Woman Dark with Boots - Bruder Toys 2010
I stumbled across these little gems in a boutique toy store last week. The German toy company Bruder is known for making very realistic toys. These toys take on the themes of farmwork, construction, forestry, etc, with detailed vehicles, playsets, and action figures. They really remind me of a hybrid of two of my early childhood favorites, Tonka & Adventure People. What struck me about these figures (aside from their realistic appearance) was the high level of articulation (especially considering they are aimed towards young children). There is only one female sculpt that I am aware of, but you can get her in a variety of color palettes. I chose two that seem very different despite being clones of each other. In a perfect world, the horses from the equestrian sets would be as articulated as the figures (they aren't), because the horse and rider combos would make for some amazing custom fodder. The playsets also come with accessories like the occasional helmet or tool. Let's check them out below!

Brazilian Toy Arts BATGIRL!
Brazilian Fast Food Chain Bob's Exclusive DC Toy-Arts do Mini-Figure 2013
Brazil seems to have the best fast-food exclusives. I'm currently hunting down at least three different ones on MercadoLivre.. although "ebay-prices" seem to be a phenomenon on all sorts of commerce sites, not limited to ebay itself... *sigh.* This current line of five Batman figure is a follow-up to 2010's Justice League (Liga da Justica) which was a rather obvious knock-off of Hot Toys' Cosbabys. This Batman is a distinct departure from the Cosbaby-style, but there are still more similarities than differences. These figures are unarticulated 2.75" PVC figures with non-removable bases. They are cheaply constructed, but don't necessarily look it. Plus they make a great addition to any super-deformed or vinyl hero collection. I'm eagerly waiting to get my hands on a Catwoman. I only wish they made cool fast food exclusives here in the USA. It's been way too long since I've had a reason to go to Burger King. Let's check out Batgirl below!

Vintage Goodness: MEDECINS SANS FRONTIERES!
1988 G.I.Joe knock-offs from Berchet of France
I first discovered Mission Medecins San Frontieres ("Doctors Without Borders") on yojoe.com many years ago in their "Not G.I.Joe" section. The information on that site was basic, but it prompted me to do some research and discover the rest of the line. It was a LONG time before I finally was able to get the two females of the set. I didn't pay much for them, roughly $2.00 each (plus crazy shipping from France), so I don't think they're excessively valuable or anything, but I rarely see them on ebay. If you're into G.I.Joe bootlegs, especially ones with original sculpting details, this is definitely a series you should be hunting down.
