Game of Thrones - DAENERYS TARGARYEN (2.0)!

Game of Thrones: Legacy Collection #12 - Daenerys Targaryen - Funko 2014

I have a feeling that the Game of Thrones Legacy Collection is going to be chock full of Daenerys figures by the time the line ends.  This character goes through such a transformation over the course of the books and TV episodes and each iteration is worthy of immortilazation in plastic.  I'm especially hoping they'll be some deluxe version with her three dragons (ideally in a threatening, but economically feasible size).  This second version of Daenerys is in her blue dress and cape from her time in Slaver's Bay.  This is one of my favorite looks because it's practical yet regal, like Daenerys herself.  My first version of Daenerys was plagued with QC problems - enough so that there was even a replacement program set up for all the defective stock.  But I'm happy to report that I've had no issues whatsoever with this second wave of figures.  So now I'm really looking forward for future figures.  Cersei is a shoe-in, but there's such a huge cast of awesome characters that the rest of the slots are anybody's game.

Daenerys comes with a single accessory of a hand-whip or riding crop.  I believe this was given to her to control the Unsullied army in Astapoor.

Here are a couple images from the show.

Time for some Group and Comparison Shots!

Here she is with the Series 1 Daenerys in her Dothraki garb.

Cheers!

  1. Im sorry, but i still do not recognise the actor in this figure. I have a dilemma as i love the series so much, but most figures looks too different. I think Jamie and Jon have a passing resemblance. This is my single biggest disappointment of the year. can't get over the fact, they got it so wrong. I keep buying them and selling them out of disgust. I kept Cercei, but the jury is pretty much out there for me. With lines like Austin Powers, Crouching Tiger, Munsters (except Lily), Harryhausen etc, i cannot find any excuse. Thank goodness for Walking Dead. At least i recognise who they are...haha

    1. I get what you're saying, but I gave up expecting good likenesses way back when the first Toy Biz X-Men movie figures came out. I was expecting greatness, and even though they fell short, I still enjoyed the figures. The bar has definitely been raised in recent years, but I still manage to enjoy the ones that look nothing like their actors - these GOT figures included. I've reached action figure zen :)
