Batman '66 Bendable BATGIRL!

Batman: Classic TV Series - Bendable Figures - Batgirl - NJCroce 2015

This little beauty was one of my favorite discoveries at Toy Fair '15. Ever since I stumbled across the NJ Croce booth in 2013 and saw the very cool JLA New Frontier bendable figures, I have made it a point to stop by each year to see what new offerings they have. They have yet to disappoint me. Last year they had a Julie Newmar Catwoman. Then this year they wowed us with a BTAS Harley Quinn and Batgirl, as well as this Batman 1966 Classic TV Series Batgirl. I honestly already have low hopes for 2016 because this year will be a tough one to beat. I supposed a BTAS Poison Ivy or Catwoman is possible (and a Mystery of the Batwoman figure would make me faint). But this Batgirl '66 figure is something special. I believe this is the first official piece of merchandise featuring the Yvonne Craig Batgirl on the market. We have 2 Statues (Tweeterhead & DST), a Bust, and an action figure due out later this year, but I think this is the first. Hopefully this is only the beginning. Let's check out Batgirl below!

I always stock up on Kaiser 3.75" doll stands on Amazon every time I need to up my order to $35 for the free shipping.
They come in handy big time.

The cloth cape is a cool addition.  I suppose the previous Batman figures probably perfected this multi-media approach, but this is the first time I've seen it in person and I think it works really well.

I love the sculpt on this figure.  It's got a great face, and the skeletal structure seems human
(unlike a lot of bendies that end up looking like jellyfish).  The sparkles in her bodysuit add a lot as well.

Clearly, Batgirl is bendable.  It seems like all NJ Croce Bendies have an internal wire armature to aide in the posing.  I don't like to bend mine too much because I like to pose them standing at attention (and I've had bendies deteriorate from extended use as a kid... so I'm paranoid and cautious with these ladies).

Okay, now that we have this figure, I need to see lots more Yvonne Craig Batgirl toys.  I expect Funko products (POPs, bobbleheads, Dorbz, etc) and Mini Mez-Itz from Mezco at the very least.

Time for some Comparison Pics!

Here she is with the Bendable Batman '66 Catwoman from last year.

And here she is with the recent Greg Capullo Batgirl and New 52 Batgirl - DCC 2014

Cheers!

    1. I agree the packaging is perfect. I can imagine a lot of people wouldn't be too keen on displaying a bendy along with their action figures, so I'm glad the cards look so sharp for MOC display.

  2. I just got mine in the mail on Tuesday but I've been too busy playing Arkham Knight to open it yet!

I love the idea of using the Kaiser stands for these! I use Kaiser stands for my MOTUC and Star Wars Black collections but it really makes sense to use them for bendable figures that will not stand otherwise.

    1. I had a dream that I saw a DCC Arkham Knight Batgirl figure amongst all the SDCC news. Actually it took me a few days of fruitless searching online to admit to myself that it was just a dream. She would be awesome though.

Kaiser stands are fantastic. I wish they were a little cheaper, but overall I can't complain.

    1. The only place I've seen the first wave was in comic shops.. so I'd check there if I were you. Good luck!
