He-Man Animated Series - RAM MA'AM!

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (Netflix) -  Ram Ma'am - Mattel 2022

I don't think anything about Netflix's CGI He-Man and the Masters of the Universe series has impressed me so much as the creation of the character Ram Ma'am. Upon first hearing the name, I can admit I scoffed and rolled my eyes. Her name is ridiculous, but in retrospect, it's classic MOTU brand to have laughable names. And upon watching the show, I concede that she is a shockingly awesome character. Ram Man in the 80s was very popular, but he just annoyed the crap out of me. His dim-witted (supposedly comedic) dialogue and the boing-boing noises as he bounced around took me out of the fantasy aspect of the show instantly. But Krasstine, aka Krass, aka Ram Ma'am, aka Rampage was anything but. She had depth, demons, and visually cool powers. If you haven't watched the show, the major gimmick is that all the heroic "Masters" get powered up by the Power Sword, not just Adam. So they all have transformation sequences and a chance to shine. Especially Krass. Watch the show, it's fun.

I think this figure looks great. The face sculpt is kind of adorable, the pose is squat and ready for action,
and the use of translucent plastics on her helmet is very appealing.

Krass' costume is covered with turbo thrusters on the back to add to her ramming power.

Ram Ma'am comes with an energy accessory that fits over her head and represents the crackling energy that emits when she is racing forward leaving a glowing streak in her wake.

Her action feature does not represent at all in photos.
Her torso will snap forward when pulled back, mimicking a ramming motion.

Time for some Group and Comparison Pics!

Here are the three He-Man and the Masters of the Universe ladies so far together: Evil-Lyn, Ram Ma'am, and Sorceress.

Cheers!

  1. I think, easily, the most defining traits of these modern cartoon version He-Man figures are the face sculpts, to the BOON of all the female characters, and the utter detriment to all the male characters. Caught myself buying all the females, undeniably because of the excellent character to their faces. Oh god, and now there's a BIRD 2-pack with Sorceress out there (though that's a throw-away figure, as the new color scheme is ugly).
