TOY FAIR 2013 Coverage - FOUR HORSEMEN!

Power Lords  -  Gothitropolis  -  Outer Space Men

This year's Four Horsemen pre-ToyFair event, Extra-Toyrrestrial, at Toy Tokyo gave us some great views of some new female Outer Space Men figures, the awesome new Power Lords lineup, and even more Gothitroplis.

Outer Space Men
Here is another look at TERRA FIRMA (which we've seen at conventions already)

And here are three awesome new additions.  They are all pending licensor approval.

OHPROMATEM

She's really spooky with transparant purple eyes and a skull-like face.

HORROSCOPE

She's so creepy I love her!

ASTRODITE

Just beautiful.  I hope we get all of these figures.

Power Lords
This series is so cool.  But I admit I was walking to Toy Tokyo with high hopes of seeing a 4H Shaya figure.  I'm disheartened, but she's too important of a character for her to be overlooked in the long run.
ADAM POWER

LORD POWER

POWER SOLDIER

GGRIPPTOGG

GGRAPPTIKK

Gothitropolis

We saw all these female figures last year but this was the first time for me seeing them in person.  They are amazing.  Especially the Snake-Headed girl.

Note this next character (Do I remember her being called the Vampire Queen?) has a new extra face.

And finally, this group I've been referring to as the Bird Boys.  They are fantastic and I plan to get most of these.  The Duck with the horned helmet is named Minotaur and had a descriptive story of his creation along with a Kickstarter sing (unsure if the kickstarted sign was for him or the whole group).  The names below are decriptors, not actualy character names.

ROOSTER

PHOENIX

I personally think this was the coolest figure in the entire show.

 EAGLE & VULTURE

OWL

BLACK RAVEN & WHITE RAVEN

 CARDINAL

MINOTAUR THE DUCK

HAWK

REPTILE DUDE

That's all for tonight.  Check back tomorrow evening for all my Day 1 Toy Fair Galleries.  If there's something special you'd like to see covered, leave a message and I'll try to check it out.

Cheers!

  1. Whoops sorry I deleted someone's comment when I tried to respond to it. I should NOT have adminstrative privileges apparently :\

  2. It's funny, only a few weeks ago I was looking at Mel Birnkrant's blog where he showed artwork for the various outer space women. He seemed unsure if they would ever be made...but here they are! I know they are 'pending', & that it takes a loooong time to get new toys in the line...but I am hopeful we see them. Birnkrant showed a few more:

The 6" figures look beautiful. I only have Alluxandra & Akkuli the blue cat, but I hope to get a few figures from each wave. Nearly won the pink Elephant on eBay years ago.

Hopefully Power Lords takes off & we get the main female from the line.

    1. Wow that was a great link! I love these Female Outer Space Men. Something about their design and posture is very unique and classic. It kind of reminds me of Sam Kieth's art. My friend at the Toy Tokyo show thought they were all supposed to be pregnant.. haha. I have all the previous 4H ladies but I unfortunately had a ton of QC (paint) issues with them. Their pupils were all wonky and all the spotted cats each had one or two "globs" instead of a spot that were very distracting. I hope the next batch will be better.
