DC Super Friends Imaginext POISON IVY!

Imaginext DC Super Friends - Scarecrow & Poison Ivy - Fisher-Price 2014

Fisher-Price and their parent company Mattel are amazing.  The Imaginext line is going to soar to new levels in 2014 with a commitment to second-tier superheroes and even cool collector-friendly (non-superhero) blind bags.  I think all fans of this line were nervous about the limited presence of female characters.  For the longest time it seemed like Catwoman would be the only lady produced.  Then a year later we were all surprised by Harley Quinn and Wonder Woman figures.  Now yet another year goes by and we get this green-skinned beauty to balance out the Gotham City Sirens trio.  Now I'm holding my breath for future announcements.  I suspect we'll see Batgirl, Hawkgirl, and Zatanna eventually.  Cheetah would be awesome, too.  I'm excited for the future of this line and it seems like the designers are, too.  The variety of the characters released so far and in the future is nothing short of inspiring.  Let's check out this latest addition to the line below!

My favorite detail of this figure is the sculpted vines on the bodice.

Ivy comes with an awesome viney staff.

Scarecrow looks great as well.

Time for some Group and Comparison Shots!

Cheers!

  1. Very excited about her (and Scarecrow, too)! I definitely hope we see Batgirl later this year. Both she and Nightwing seem like pretty major omissions from this line.

    1. Yeah a Batgirl and Nightwing two-pack seems like a no-brainer. I would love a huntress and Batwoman too, but I know that's not very likely. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Supergirl and Superboy pack someday too.

    1. I didn't think about the World's Finest angle! Although I highly doubt we'll ever see two ladies together in this line. Very excited for the WF DCC 2-Pack this summer. It was very unexpected. I think it would be awsome to get Helena in her Robin costume, too.

    1. Yeah she turned out much better than I expected based on those early ebay pics. Very glad to have the trio complete!

  4. Soo awesome to finally see Poison Ivy in the line! And she looks very cool too.

I gave a heap of these to my little nephew for Christmas. I was hoping the Ivy/Scarecrow set would be out before his b'day in April, so that's more good news!

I agree Batgirl really needs to make an appearance now.

    1. I should start buying these for my nieces and nephews. I've been buying them the DC Little People, but they've outgrown them. Unfortunately they really lean toward Marvel characters so i already started getting them Super Hero Mashers, which are a step-up age-wise from Imaginext.

I was just thinking the other day how perfect Black Orchid would look in this line (I'm always trying to suggest her in toy form). But I'm sure we're more likely to see Batgirl or Supergirl next.
