Marvel Legends - SPIDER-GIRL!

Spider-Man Infinite Series - Hobgoblin Wave - Warriors of the Web - Hasbro 2015

May "Mayday" Parker is one of those characters that I have desperately tried to get into.  The idea of a girl wearing Spider-Man's costume was such a novel idea to me.  I couldn't believe it hadn't been done before. I remember discovering her on a Wizard Magazine cover while on vacation with my family.  (I discovered Cassandra Cain in the same issue actually).  Over the years I tried and tried to get into the comic but it just didn't stick.  I always loved her design so I kept going back.  Her fanbase was phenomenal though and her title was continually resurrected and rebooted.  Even now, she's been a major player in the Spider-Verse storyline and the Petra Parker Spider-Girl in the Web Warriors cartoon plays homage to Mayday.  Pretty good for a character that started off as a hypothetical one-shot in "What If...?"  This figure is amazing.  Hasbro has been knocking it out of the park with their Marvel Legends figures lately.  My Spider-Lady shelf is positively exploding. Let's check out Mayday below!

Here are some images of Mayday from the comics.

Here is a clip introducing the Petra Parker Spider-Girl in the Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors cartoon.

Time for Some Group and Comparison Pics!

Here is Mayday with her wavemate, Ultimate Spider-Woman.

And with last year's Anya Corazon Spider-Girl.  Note they all have the same body.

Cheers!

  1. I just found her in store! My only complaint is the way mine was packaged left her with really warped legs and one is nearly broke at the knee. Other then that this is an amazing figure.

    1. Hi, i put whatever bended body parts on hot water for a bit, and then run the cold water, as i straighten the legs holding it tight. I have done this with many figures including my old Mystique. Now im running around finding more deform legs to correct them. Apparently you can also do this with a hair dryer. But mine is way to hot. Im scared to melt the paint. Water works perfectly.

    2. I've totally made paint start to bubble by using a hair dryer. So, yes, I use the hot water trick, too. My joints were all okay with this figure luckily. She's a beauty. Everytime I see her in a store I want to buy her again and again! haha

  2. Loving my new display with pizza Spidey, the two Spider-girls, Ultimate Spider Woman and Black Cat. Waiting for classic Spider-woman to join in the fun.
