Arkham Knight HARLEY QUINN!

Batman: Arkham Knight - Wave 1, Figure 4 - Harley Quinn - DC Collectibles 2015

I really think the third time is the charm with these videogame-based Harley Quinn figures from DC Collectibles.  The Arkham Asylum "Sexy Nurse" Harley was a decent figure of an ill-conceived costume.  The Arkham City dyed-pigtails and baseball bat look was much better, but the figure was oddly-proportioned and overshadowed by nearly-identical Mattel figure.  I'm really looking forward to the Dr. Quinzel from Arkham Origins later this year, but in the meantime we got this fantastic early figure of the Arkham Knight.  This costume is by no means a favorite of mine.  It's kind of an odd blend of the first two Arkham outfits.  When I first saw images of it, I rolled my eyes.  (One of these days she better get a utilitarian costume.)  So, yeah, I wasn't thrilled in the beginning, but I have to admit this action figure is making me change my mind.  She's just gorgeous.  I'm so glad to have her in my collection.  Let's check her out in detail below!

The Gentle Giant sculpt is gorgeous.  I almost overlooked the sculpt when she was shown at conventions because she was a bit overpainted, but this final product is terrific.

Harley comes with a lot of accessories including: a Baseball Bat, a Handgun, a Jack-in-the-Box, a small bottle, vile, or trigger device (??), and two Extra Hands.

It's odd to see Harley with a gun.  I know the Arkham Asylum figure came with one, too.  I always thought Harley would choose a more kinetic weapon like her hammers and baseball bats.  These accessories combined with the burlesque outfits make me think the game designers really don't know the character too well.

This Harley figure has amazing articulation.  Every joint you want is there.  The outfit hinders her a little bit at the skirt and shoulders, but not much.  Also, the ankles and feet are perfect with hinge, swivel, and rocker joints.

Here are some of the few images I could find of Harley from the game.
Arkham Knight doesn't come out until the end of June.

Time for some Group and Comparison Pics!

Here she is with the Arkham City Harley Quinn from 2011.

And with the Mattel Multiverse figure from last year
(Note: I tried customizing this little Harley's eyes.. It's a work in progress)

Cheers!

    1. Now that Batgirl is an official character in the game I'm excited to maybe see a toy of her, too... as long as it's of this quality of course.
