Marvel Legends - MISTY KNIGHT!

Marvel Legends Infinite Series - Rhino Wave - Heroes For Hire - Hasbro 2015

I find myself saying this a lot on this blog, but I know absolutely nothing about this character. My interest in "special-ops" type characters is pretty low. I prefer capes and ridiculous headgear over holsters and guns. That said, this Misty Knight figure looks pretty cool and badass.  She'll look great with my Black Widow and Maria Hill (come to think of it, I'll take a picture of that group and post it soon).  From my wiki research I learned that Misty is a former NYPD officer who lost an arm in an explosion.  Tony Stark fitted her with a cybernetic replacement that gives her superhuman strength.  She has a longstanding partnership with Colleen Wing (another who I know nothing about) and is a romantic interest for Iron Fist.  Her "Heroes for Hire" slot is in reference to the 2006 comic series in which she (and colleen) starred. Although the recent announcement that she will be a character in the upcoming Luke Cage TV series ties into that title as well.  Tricky tricky Hasbro.  Let's check out Misty Knight below!

Misty comes with a revolver that fits into her holster.  Her holster could be removable with some effort.  It's rubbery so it could be inched over her hips if you are patient.

Here are some images of Misty from the internet.

Time for some Group and Comparison Pics!

Here she is with her wave-mate White Tiger.

Cheers!

  1. Misty is a must have figure for me. The only thing about this figure is she looks a little on the young girly side. I wanted a more sexy grown up look like your first picture posted. And her lip stick should be natural or darker. Other than that she's perfect. Another winning figure from Marvel.

    1. Glad you like her! Lip color is something I've noticed as being "off" on many hasbro figures lately (Star Wars Rey just last week). I also know what you mean about having a more mature look. Most of the pictures I found online had her looking a good 5-10 years older. Not to mention curvier. (Although her height adds to the maturity of the toy). I also had many high hopes for this headsculpt in the customizing department. I wanted to make a classic Photon and a Valerie Spider-Woman. But in person the head and hair just isn't right for those characters. It's very rare to get black female action figures, let alone afro'd black female characters (I'm thinking and thinking, and this might actually be the only one).

  2. Great, you managed to find a Misty with not too wonky eyes! Congrats. I love Misty and Colleen from the 70's comics of Power Man/Iron Fist, so this is a dream come true. And no, I cant think of another black female figure with Afro. The closest I guess is Bumblebee from the Titans cartoon.

    1. I managed to fix her eyes with a fine point sharpie and also added a bit more eyeliner under her eyes to fix the issues.
