The Mandalorian - THE ARMORER!

Star Wars Black Series - The Mandalorian 04: The Armorer - Hasbro 2020

One of my favorite things about the various modern Star Wars media is the introduction of female characters in the style of different factions from the original Star Wars trilogy. We've now seen numerous female Jedi, female Imperial Officers, and female Stormer Troopers. But my favorite additions have been the great female Mandalorians. Starting with Isabet Reau and Rav Bralor, and soon the very popular Sabine Wren. But now with the groundbreaking Mandalorian show on Disney+, we are being exposed to so many more. The upcoming Bo Katan figure looks fantastic (and I hope she is followed by a Koska Reeves). But I think a lot of us were surprised to see a figure of the Armorer. She had a couple quick appearances in Season 1 and I remember being thrilled to hear a female voice emanating from the armor, but I never once expected to get an action figure of her. Her Rocketeer-esque color palette and her non-combat armor is a very interesting addition to the lore. Let's check her out below!

The Armorer comes with two metalworking accessories: Tongs and a Hammer.

The Armorer has the standard articulation we've come to expect with Black Series figures, but she's pretty hindered by her outfit. I should also note that her hip articulation seems awkwardly low, but from some angles it still looks good.

There was a Pulse Exclusive Deluxe version of The Armorer as well.
I wasn't aware there would be a standard release originally so I ended up with one of each.
The Deluxe packaging is larger and has a sliding functionality.
It doesn't pull out all the way, but has a cardboard or rubberband resistance that pulls it back.

The Deluxe version is an identical core figure to the standard release.
However, the Deluxe version has a soft goods fur shoulder-cape. It's made out of a shaggy material that actually looks pretty great. However, I personally will always chose molded plastic over soft goods.

The biggest difference in the Deluxe version is the accessories.
She comes with the same two metalsmithing tools that the standard version comes with, but they have translucent orange ends that give a molten metal look. She also comes with a Mandalorian helmet and a "sparking hammer blow" effect.

I forgot to mention that her shoulder cape is removable. It connects to her back with two small pegs.

Time for a Comparison Pic!

Cheers!
