Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom - CLAIRE DEARING!

Jurassic World - The Hammond Collection - Claire Dearing - Mattel 2024

I have a pattern where I stockpile figures in my basement - essentially ignoring that I own them - until I realize I've assembled a small group from the same line and feel the urge to open and review them asap. I pretty much buy every female figure in the modern Mattel Jurassic line. That's no small feat considering how many there have been in the 7 years and how many have come in large expensive playsets. As a reference, it took the G.I.Joe line 21 years to produce as many female figures as the Jurassic line did in 7, and a large portion of the G.I.Joes were repaints. Claire Dearing has been a great character in the Jurassic World movies. Of all the main characters, she has shown the most growth; from a (somewhat) heartless businesswoman in a white skirt-suit to a geared-up survivalist and outlaw. The Hammond Collection offers deluxe versions of their 3.75" figures. Claire features swappable parts to give us two of her iconic looks from Fallen Kingdom. Let's check out Claire below!

Claire comes with two sets of arms, an optional jacket, and a backpack.

I failed to take good action shots of Claire (I was distracted by her multiple display options), but it's important to note the improvements in her articulation. This Hammond Collection figure has thigh swivels and double-hinged knees (where previous figures just had hinge-and-swivel knees). Plus she has hinge-and-swivel posts at her wrists and ankles (where previous figures had none).

Time for some Group and Comparison Pics!

Here are the two main display options with this figure.

Note that the Hammond Collection figures (the 2nd and 3rd from the Left) have double-hinged knees, thigh swivels, and hinge-and-swivel posts at their wrists and ankles. Also the Hammond Collection figures seem to be using a face printing technology (to moderate success... this scale is tough). You actually get a lot of value for the added cost of these figures.

And all my modern Mattel Jurassic Ladies together. From Left to Right: Zora Bennett 1 (Rebirth), Claire Dearing Hammond 1 (Fallen Kingdom), Yasmina "Yaz" Fadoula v2 (Camp Cretaceous), Yasmina "Yaz" Fadoula (Camp Cretaceous), Claire Dearing v2 (Fallen Kingdom), Isabella Delgado (Rebirth), Claire Dearing (Fallen Kindgom), Ellie Sattler (Jurassic Park), Lex Murphy (Jurassic Park), Claire Dearing (Dominion), Kayla Watts (Dominion), Maisie Lockwood (Dominion), Ellie Sattler (Dominion), Soyona Santos (Dominion), Maisie Lockwood (Fallen Kingdom), Sarah Harding (Lost World), Brooklynn (Camp Cretaceous), Zia Rodriguez (Fallen Kingdom), Sammy Gutierrez (Camp Cretaceous), Claire Dearing Hammond 2 (Fallen Kingdom), and Zora Bennett 2 (Rebirth).

Cheers!
